India's daily Covid tally inched closer to the 1,000 mark, with 918 new cases being reported in a single day, as per government data released on 20 March 2023.
Four deaths were reported in 24 hours. Active Covid-19 cases rose to 6,350.
44,225 tests were conducted in one day, and the daily positivity rate stood at 2.08%. This is a proportion of positive test results out of the total tests done.
