In a horrific incident near Hyderabad, a class 11 student of a residential school died by suicide on Tuesday.
The student, who hailed from a nearby town, was found hanging in his classroom by his classmates.
The incident came to light when the 16-year-old went missing after study hours which ended at 10 pm. The pressure to perform better in competitive exams might have driven him to suicide, as per a friend of the student.
The incident comes after a spate of suicides by students in Telangana in recent weeks.
