Fire on Vande Bharat Express in MP's Vidisha; all passengers safe, say reports

A safety scare occurred onboard a Vande Bharat Express on July 17 as a fire broke out in a battery box of one of the coaches.

The incident took place on a train going from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh to Delhi.

The fire was restricted to the battery box which is located away from the passenger area, officials said. The blaze was extinguished and the defective batteries were removed.

All passengers were safe, and the train was ready to move a few hours later.
