The Election Commission of India is set to announce polling dates for 3 states on 18 January 2023.
Dates for Assembly elections in Nagaland, Tripura, and Meghalaya will be declared. The EC organised a press conference at 2:30 pm for the same.
The 5-year tenure of Assemblies in the 3 states is ending on different dates in March 2023.
An EC team headed by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had recently visited the 3 states.
