The use of drones and photography around the headquarters of Hindutva fountainhead, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, in Maharashtra’s Nagpur has been banned.

An India Today report said that the ban has been put in place after militants affiliated with terror outfit Jaish-e- Mohammad carried out a recce in Nagpur two to three months back. The RSS headquarters, Dr Hedgewar Bhawan - is located on Sangh Building road in Nagpur's Mahal area.

Amitesh Kumar, the Commissioner of Police in Nagpur told India Today said any drone found within a two-km radius of the area will either be destroyed or seized by the police and users could also face legal action.

In light of the perceived threat, deployment of police has been increased in sensitive locations across Nagpur as a precaution.
