Delhi Lieutenant Govenor Vinai Kumar Saxena has appealed people to strictly adhere to Covid appropriate behaviour saying that the national capital is witnessing a rise in Covid-19 infections, consistently high positivity and cases of reinfection.

He added that the pandemic is far from over and people cannot afford to let our guards down.

Delhi on Tuesday reported 917 Covid-19 cases with a positivity rate of 19.20 per cent and three deaths due to the infection, according to data shared by the city health department.

On Monday, the national capital had reported 1,227 cases with a positivity rate of 14.57 per cent, while eight more people died due to the disease.

Before this, the city logged more than 2,000 cases daily for 12 consecutive days.

Meanwhile, Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that ninety per cent of corona-infected patients admitted to the hospital are those patients who have taken only two doses of the vaccine
