Delhi Covid update: Over 11,000 cases, positivity rate down. Has third wave ebbed?

Continuing with a marked decline in daily Covid cases, Delhi on Tuesday recorded 11,684 infections.

The test positivity rate, which is the number of cases detected per 100 tests, also dropped to 22 percent from 28 percent a day before.

The Capital has been seeing daily cases decline for the last few days. On Monday, the city registered 12,587 cases, on Sunday it was 18,286, on Saturday the figure was 20,718 while on Friday it was 24,383.

The Capital also logged 38 deaths due to Covid on Tuesday and the recovery rate stands at 94 per cent.

Experts say that the Third Wave of coronavirus is past its peak in the Capital. The Delhi government had earlier said that it will start easing restrictions of markets and businesses once cases start to come down.
