But this might just be the first time some of you hear about a Harry Potter-themed Metaverse wedding.
Well, a couple from Tamil Nadu is all set to host their wedding reception in Metaverse on February 6.
Dinesh SP and Janaganandhini Ramaswamy will get married in Tamil Nadu's Sivalingapuram village and then enter the digital world to host their friends and family from across the world for a Metaverse wedding reception.
The groom Dinesh called it 'India's first Metaverse marriage' as he posted a video invite for the reception.
The video has the Hogwarts castle, a host of dementors and digital versions of the bride and groom.

Metaverse is a virtual reality world where users can 'live' and interact with others through digital avatars. It combines multiple elements of technology like augmented reality, blockchain and virtual reality.
