Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Parliament House office on Wednesday.
The meeting comes against the backdrop of the surprise resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar as vice president on Monday, citing health reasons, and the continued disruption of proceedings in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha amid opposition protests over various issues.
Modi will leave for a visit to the Maldives and the United Kingdom later on Wednesday.
