Spate of target killings: Kashmiri Pandit shot dead, brother wounded

One person died and another sustained injuries on Tuesday after being shot at by suspected terrorists in Chotipora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.  

Both victims were siblings and belonged to the Kashmiri Pandit community. The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kumar. 

The injured has been shifted to a nearby hospital and the area has been cordoned off. 

The terrorists reportedly opened fire in an apple orchard where the two people were working. 

On August 15, 20-year-old Karan Kumar from the Kashmiri Pandit community was injured after alleged militants hurled a grenade at a residential colony in Budgam district of J&K.
