Ind vs SA: Series to go ahead even if there are Covid positive cases, says Cricket South Africa

Cricket South Africa on Wednesday announced that any Covid positive report would not hamper the India tour which is set to begin on 26th December with a 3-match Test series and the 2 nations will later play the 3-match ODI series beginning 19th January.

The cricket boards of both countries have mutually agreed that the ODI or the Test series which will be played behind closed doors due to the Omicron scare will not be halted even if there are positive tests, the concerned individual will be put under isolation without affecting the game.

The South Africa board's medical officer also said that contacts will continue playing and training with non-medical interventions but they will be strictly observed and tested daily.
