Despite confirming India's tour to South Africa to be on as of now, The BCCI on Wednesday put the team selection meeting on hold.

According to a report in the Times of India, the Indian board is waiting for clearance by the government before going ahead. The selection meeting was due to take place soon after India's 1st Test vs New Zealand in Kanpur. The players who were rested for the home Test series including Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant were to undergo a 5-day quarantine before entering the bio-bubble on December 8.
