In a first, India supports Israel at the UN vote

In an unprecedented move last week, India voted in support of Israel at the UN to deny observer status to a Palestinian human rights organisation named ‘Shahed’. This is the first time India has taken a step back from its decades-old position on the two-state theory under which New Delhi sees both Israel and Palestine as separate and independent countries. There was no immediate word from the Indian government on the matter, but deputy chief of mission at the Israeli embassy on Tuesday tweeted to thank India for "standing with Israel"
