According to a court in Coimbatore, the IAF officer accused of rape will be tried under the Court Martial Act.

The 29-year-old Flight Lieutenant, allegedly raped his colleague 2 weeks ago and was arrested by the Coimbatore police on September 26.

The woman officer initially was discouraged from filing a report, subjected to a banned 'two-finger test' and unhappy with the inaction by the Air Force went to file an FIR with the police.

A court in the hearing on Friday, handed the case to the IAF, stating that the accused would be tried under Court Martial Act.
