UP Police has registered an Open FIR against politicians, local people, and journalists for allegedly conspiring to create caste tensions and destabilising the Yogi Adityanath government. A case under 20 different sections has been lodged at the Chandrapa Police station near Hathras. While the police refused to reveal any information, they said that more names would be added as the probe progresses. Meanwhile, Adityanath has lashed out at the opposition, accusing them of spreading rumors and triggering riots. He said that the opposition will derive political mileage from the riots and hence they are indulging in newer conspiracies.
