Harbhajan Singh to join a major IPL franchise in a different avatar: Reports

Prolific Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh is set to feature in next year's Indian Premier League but this time in a different avatar suggests a PTI report. However, the 41-year-old Harbhajan who played a few matches for KKR during the India-leg of IPL 2021 is yet to disclose the details.

A source in the know of the development told the publication that Harbhajan is in talks with some major franchisees who are keen on using his vast experience. The role can be that of a consultant, mentor, or as a part of the advisory group, the source said. He further informed that the veteran cricketer will also actively advise the particular franchise in picking players during the mega auctions.

The source also revealed that the spinner who has 417 wickets in 103 Tests and 269 in ODIs will also announce his retirement soon.
