Assam’s Samarjit Banik is hoping to complete the 161km run that he has pledged to complete as part of the Kargil International Marathon. On Friday morning he had completed 61 kms. He began at 4.30AM and has 35 hours to complete the feat. The 50-year old man from Guwahati shared that he has a heart condition and has undergone couple of surgeries too but that has not deterred him. He has been running since 2016 and he has also made it to the Limca Book of Records by running for 365 days, 12 kms a day on an average.
