Govt To High Court: Whatsapp must be restrained from using new privacy policy

As per reports the Govt has urged Delhi High Court to restrain Facebook owned Whatsapp from implementing it's new privacy policy which comes into effect from May 15.

Live Law reported that the Centre made a plea to the court stating that new privacy policies do not align with appropriate standards of data protection.

Mark Zuckerberg backed WhatsApp has drawn backlash after it unveiled it's new policy on January 4th that would allow owner Facebook and its subsidiaries to "collect user data".
