Govt extends date for tax resolution scheme

The Govt has extended the deadline for filing declaration and making payments under ‘Vivad Se Vishwas’ scheme . The deadline for declaration has been pushed March 31, 2021, and the due date for payment without additional amount under the scheme has been extended to 30th April, 2021.

The Direct Tax Vivad se Vishwas Act, 2020 was implemented in March 2020 and 1.2 lakh cases amounting to Rs 97,000 cr have so far opted for the scheme.
