Benchmark app Geekbench has delisted the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones from its platform, after an investigation by tech website Anandtech found the devices to be manipulating benchmark performance.
Both OnePlus 9 series devices were found to analyse apps at the kernel level, and limit the performance of everyday apps in order to conserve battery.

These limits were not applied to benchmark apps, apparently in a bid for higher scores. OnePlus has not yet officially responded to these allegations.
