According to a report from Gartner, global smartphone sales will see an 11.4% year-on-year growth, with 1.5 billion phone sales predicted for 2021. While sales for smartphones saw a 10.5% dip in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, it seems 2021 is set to see renewed growth, thanks to markets re-opening, a steady demand for 5G-capable devices and the growing availability of 5G networks.
