Three years after it's exit, SoftBank is looking to grab a pie of the e-commerce giant Flipkart. As per reports in ET and Mint, sources say the PE firm is looking to re-enter Flipkart with a $700 million investment.
SoftBank after investing $2.1 billion in Flipkart had exited the businesses selling their entire stake to Walmart Inc, the world’s largest retailer. Flipkart as per reports is looking to raise $2 billion in the current round of funding in which SoftBank is also likely to participate along with existing investors like GIC.
Walmart backed Flipkart is currently valued at $24.9 billion.
