FIR filed in Mumbai against Tv actor Munmun Dutta for using casteist slur

Mumbai police have registered a case against television actor Munmun Dutta for allegedly using a derogatory term against a community on Saturday.

She was was earlier booked in Haryana & Madhya Pradesh for using that slur in one of her makeup tutorial videos. 

Reports are the police filed the FIR based on a complaint of a worker of a political party after her makeup tutorial video went viral. 

The report adds she has been booked under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Dutta reportedly issued an apology on May 10 after drawing flak for her remark.
