Launched in October, Facebook's security monitoring platform for political officials called Facebook Protect will reportedly be offered to more people in 2021. Reports say the feature will be available to use by journalists, human rights advocates and activists from next year. Apart from real-time monitoring of accounts, Facebook will also hand out physical keys to notable figures for two-factor authentication.
