TV actor Vaishali Takkar found dead, suicide note mentions ex-Boyfriend: Police

Television actor Vaishali Takkar, best known for her roles in 'Sasural Simar Ka' and 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', was found dead at her home in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday. According to news agency ANI, Indore Assistant Commissioner of Police M Rahman has said that a suicide note was found which indicates that she was being harassed by her neighbour Rahul Navlani, who is a businessman. Vaishali reportedly killed herself at around 12.30pm. The police reached the spot and sent her body for post-mortem to Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital.

Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Moti ur Rehman told news agency ANI: ‘Rahul was Vaishali’s neighbour and the suicide note indicates that he used to harass Vaishali, because of which she took such an extreme step. She was about to get married to another man and Rahul troubled her for that. The police are currently investigating the case.’

The ACP added, ‘Rahul is currently not in his residence and has fled after locking his house. Police are currently try to locate him, after that he will be questioned.’

The police are investigating the case. Statements of family members are being recorded, and Vaishali’s mobile phone has been collected.

Vaishali Takkar made her acting debut in 2015 with 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'. She was recently seen in 'Rakshabandhan', opposite Nishant Malkani of 'Bigg Boss' fame.

She was originally from Mahidpur in Ujjain, but she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in film industry. Over the past one year, she had been staying in Indore with her brother and father.
