Thalapathy Vijay’s forthcoming film ‘Leo’ is one of the most anticipated movies of 2023.
The film’s first single, ‘Naa Ready’, was unveiled on Vijay's birthday on June 22.
The song became a chartbuster, within a few hours, but it has also landed the actor in legal trouble.
An activist named RTI Selvam has filed a complaint against the team for glorifying drugs and rowdyism in the song.
An online complaint was filed on June 25 and the complainant submitted his petition on June 26, urging the court to take action against the team of ‘Leo’ under the Narcotic Control Act.
Multiple events are being organised by the Chennai police against the usage of drugs. Actors Karthi and Vijay Antony have taken part in the events.
‘Leo’ is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Besides Thalapathy Vijay, the film stars Sanjay Dutt and Trisha in lead roles.
The action thriller will release in theatres on October 19, coinciding with the Ayudha Pooja weekend.
The film also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Action King Arjun, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand in pivotal roles.
The film, produced by Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy, has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander.
