Rajinikanth's latest movie 'Jailer' debuted with an impressive opening, drawing fervent celebrations from his dedicated fans.
The superstar was recently seen at Uttarakhand's Badrinath Temple, as captured in a video shared on PTI's X account.
Rajinikanth, dresssd in a light blue sweater and gloves, waved to the camera and interacted with enthusiastic fans.
Ascending the temple steps, he was greeted by fans extending their hands to touch him.
The star, surrounded by security personnel, smiled as he entered the temple.
Despite the absence of traditional fan shows, the film's release across 900 screens in Tamil Nadu was met with festive ambiance, affirmed by Tirupur Subramaniam, the head of Tamil Nadu's Theatre Owners' Association.
Directed by Nelson, "Jailer" stars Rajinikanth as the titular character, a jailer named 'Tiger' Muthuvel Pandian, determined to thwart a gang's attempts to free their incarcerated leader.
This movie marks Rajinikanth's return to the big screen after a hiatus of two years.
