Megastar Rajinikanth met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his Lucknow residence on August 19. The actor greeted the BJP leader with folded hands and then touched his feet.
During their meeting, Yogi Adityanath gifted Rajinikanth a book and a small idol of Lord Ganesh to wish him well for his movie.
Sharing a photo with the superstar on social media, CM wrote, ‘Courtesy meeting with eminent film actor Mr Rajinikanth at official residence in Lucknow today.’
Earlier in the day, a special screening of ‘Jailer’ was held in Lucknow, which was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.
Rajinikanth will visit Ayodhya with Adityanath on August 20 to seek Lord Ram’s blessings for the success of his film ‘Jailer’.
On August 17, Rajinikanth spent an hour meditating at Yagoda ashram in Jharkhand’s Ranchi amd later visited the famed Chinnamastika temple at Rajrappa in the adjoining Ramgarh district.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, ‘Jailer’ was released worldwide on August 10. The movie also features Vinayakan and Ramya Krishnan. The film’s song ‘Kaalava’ has been trending ever since its release and a few days back a video of Japanese Ambassador to India dancing to the peppy track had surfaced online.
Post ‘Jailer’, Rajinikanth is acting in a series of two films — ‘Thalaivar 170’ and ‘Thalaivar 171’.
