The makers of Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘King of Kotha’ have postponed the release of the film’s trailer after the death of Malayalam filmmaker Siddique on August 8. The trailer of the movie was earlier scheduled to be released on August 9.
Dulquer's Wayfarer Films shared a statement on their Twitter handle that read, ‘Due to the demise of director Siddique, the launch of KOK trailer has been postponed.’ The team also extended their heartfelt condolences to Siddique's family and his loved ones.
‘King Of Kotha’, Dulquer Salmaan’s dream project, has been directed by Abhilash Joshiy.
Dulquer Salmaan also expressed his condolences after Siddique's death on social media. His father Mammootty worked on several films with director duo Siddique and Lal.
'King Of Kotha' promises to be a mass entertainer. The film is being co-produced by Dulquer Salmaan film under his home banner Wayfarer Films. 'King of Kotha' is also backed by Zee Studios.
The movie also stars Shahul Hassan as Prasanna, Aishwarya Lekshmi as Tara, Nyla Usha as Manju, and Chemban Vinod Jose as Ranjith. Gokul Suresh will play the role of Tony, Shammi Thilakan plays Ravi, Shanthi Krishna is roped in to play Malathi and Anikha Surendran is Rithu.
