Kamal Haasan’s 69th birthday: Shruti Haasan wishes dad; calls him 'real OG rock star'

Megastar Kamal Haasan is celebrating his 69th birthday on November 7. On his special day, his daughter-actor Shruti Haasan shared a heartwarming reel on Instagram which captured some beautiful moments between her and her dad.

Wishing him on his birthday, she wrote that he was like her best friend and the best father any girl could ask for. Shruti also called her father 'real OG rock star' of all things he does.

The caption of her post read, ‘My dearest Appa @ikamalhaasan HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!! You are a rare heart and mind full of love and ideas that you share so generously with the world . You are the best singing , dancing poetry writing and joking and laughing like crazy friend and father any girl could ask for . You fill my life with inspiration and I wish for you to have the best year ever and many many many many more years of you Sharing your rare breed of brilliant magic with all of us . Love you so much pa , you really are the OG rock star of all the things only you do so so well!! (sic).’

On the work front for Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan delivered a hit with Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Vikram' in 2022. The actor is now waiting for the release of his upcoming film, 'Indian 2', with director Shankar. The film will be released in theatres in 2024.

Kamal Haasan will now kickstart Mani Ratnam's 'Thug Life'.

He also has a film with director H Vinoth, which is currently in the pre-production phase.

Kamal Haasan will also collaborate on a musical video with his daughter Shruti.

Shruti Haasan will reportedly make a special appearance in ‘Hi Nanna’. She also has ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’, co-starring Prabhas in the pipeline.
