'Kalki 2898 AD' is the highest grossing Indian film this year. The Nag Ashwin directorial has broken several records at box office in India and beyond. The makers of the mythological sci-fi thriller are planning something special but have not revealed what exactly.
Amitabh Bachchan who played the role of Ashwathama in the film has teased something special that's being planned in a blog post. Big B wrote that they are in the process of planning to show to a few limited the film Kalki. He added that it may or may not fructify.
Packed with a star studded cast including rebel star Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Hassan, Kalki 2898 released on June 27. The film has grossed over Rs 1,100 crore within a month and is still going strong.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’ blends sci-fi with mythological themes. Prabhas portrays Bhairava, a bounty hunter from Kashi, while Deepika plays SUM-80, a pregnant test subject. Amitabh embodies Ashwatthama from Indian mythology, and Kamal Haasan portrays Supreme Yaskin, leader of the Complex. The film follows Bhairava's quest to secure enough units to reside in the Complex, hindered by Ashwatthama.
