Shah Rukh Khan responds to Chris Martin's shoutout with a heartfelt message

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan responded warmly to Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of Coldplay, after the musician gave him a special shoutout during the band's second concert in Mumbai on Sunday. 

In a viral video, Martin can be heard saying, "Shah Rukh Khan forever." Shah Rukh Khan, in turn, expressed his gratitude and admiration for Martin, calling him "one in a billion." 

 

 

 

On Instagram, SRK posted a heartfelt message, saying, "Look at the stars...look how they shine for you...and everything you do! My brother Chris Martin, you make me feel special... like your songs!! Love you and a big hug to your team. You are one in a billion my friend. India loves you, @coldplay!!!" He also shared a clip from the concert with the caption "Chris Martin forever & ever…"

Adding to the excitement of the Coldplay concert, Indian singer Jasleen Royal joined Chris Martin on stage for a touching duet of "We Pray" from Coldplay’s latest album, Moon Music. 

Jasleen, who opened the show with her song "Kho Gaye Hum Kahan," captivated the audience with her performance.

 

 

 

Dressed in a shimmering black outfit, she played the piano and sang, earning cheers from the crowd. On Instagram, she shared moments from the evening, expressing gratitude with, "Thank you Mumbai, I love you."

The concert, held at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, was filled with delightful surprises. Chris Martin delighted fans by reading placards from the audience, saying "Shukriya" and shouting "Jai Shri Ram," which excited the crowd. 

Martin also joked about Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah, saying, "Hold on, we have to finish the show because Jasprit Bumrah wants to come and play backstage. He says he needs to bowl at me now." Although Bumrah didn’t appear, the mention energized the fans. Coldplay performed their classic hits, such as "Fix You" and "A Sky Full of Stars," making it a sensory spectacle.

Before the concert, Chris Martin and his partner, actress Dakota Johnson, visited the Shri Babulnath Temple, wearing traditional Indian attire, further deepening their connection with Indian culture. 

Coldplay's India tour includes shows in Mumbai on January 19 and 21, followed by performances in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26. As for Shah Rukh Khan, fans eagerly await his upcoming film King.
