Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is currently promoting her Telugu mythological film ‘Shaakuntalkam’, has updated her fans about her monthly Intravenous Immunoglobulin Therapy (IVIg) session.
The actor took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture featuring directors Rahul Ravindran and Nandini Reddy. She captioned the picture, ‘Monthly IVIG party. New normal.’
Samantha was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called myositis and the actor had announced the news with a picture of herself from the hospital. While sharing the picture, she had written, ‘A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front.’
The actor further added, ‘The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days…. physically and emotionally…. and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes.’
Samantha’s upcoming film ‘Shaakuntalam’ is scheduled to release on April 14.
