Director-choreographer Prabhudheva and his second wife Dr Himani have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl. The filmmaker confirmed the news to The Times of India and said, ‘Yes! It is true. I am a father again at this age (50). I feel very happy and complete.’
Prabhudeva added that he has cut down his workload so that he gets to spend more time with his family.
Prabhudheva married Dr Himani in 2020 nine years after a divorce from his first wife Ramlatha.
The filmmaker had three sons from his first wife, the eldest passed away in 2008 due to a brain tumour. His other two sons live with their mother.
Prabhudeva’s second wife made a rare appearance in a video on his 50th birthday celebration in April 2023 where she expressed her love for him. She said, ‘It has been three years of togetherness and it has been an amazing journey together. Many things amaze me about you. You are so disciplined and hardworking and yet the most joyful person. You set an example of how a person can be glorious, hilarious, caring and loving. You are gifted with a sense of humour and your presence keeps my ambience happy all the time. I am lucky and blessed to be married to you.’
Prabhudheva has helmed and acted in many Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films. Salman Khan’s ‘Radhe’ is his last directorial.
