West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited Amitabh Bachchan at his residence on August 30 and tied him a rakhi. She is currently in Mumbai to participate in the third gathering of the Opposition's INDIA bloc.
Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan were also present.
Talking to reporters after meeting Bachchan family, Mamata said “Amit ji is our Bharat Ratna. His family has also made a big contribution to the film industry,” she said.
Mamata also mentioned that she has invited the Bachchans to Kolkata for Durga Puja. She said, “I love this family. They are the number one family in India and they have a lot of contributions also...I also invited him to attend Durga Puja and International Film Festival."
