K-pop boyband BTS continues to achieve remarkable milestones even during their hiatus. NASA, the United States' space agency, has picked three songs from the boy band for their upcoming lunar mission.

RM has once again made history as his solo track ‘Moonchild’ has been included in the NASA's playlist called ‘The Moon Tunes,’ further showcasing BTS's global influence.

Which BTS songs has NASA selected?

Besides Kim Nam-joon, a.k.a RM's solo track ‘Moonchild’, the space agency has selected two space-themed BTS songs. The Moon Tunes Playlist will feature BTS' ‘Mikrokosmos’ and ‘134340’.

With NASA's selection of RM's song for playback during their 2024 space mission, he becomes the sole K-pop solo artist to accomplish this remarkable achievement. This recognition not only cements RM's success in the music industry but also serves as a symbol of breaking cultural boundaries.

The Moon Tunes Playlist

NASA is currently gearing up for its forthcoming moon mission, marking the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. In preparation for this significant journey, NASA has curated a special playlist titled "Moon Tunes."

RMxNASA: Fans Extend Congratulations to BTS Star

Following the viral news of RM and BTS's collaboration with NASA, fans took to social media to express their congratulations to the K-pop idol.

One fan expressed, "A song from an unpromoted mixtape really made it! I'm immensely proud of him."

Another fan commented, "Mikrokosmos truly deserves this recognition! (Actually, all the songs deserve it. But Mikrokosmos holds a special place in my heart.) I can hardly wait."
