Once an icon of women empowerment, K-pop idol Hyuna is facing hate since she announced marriage with boyfriend Yong Junghyung in July. It is because Junghyung’s involvement in the ‘Burning Sun Scandal’ where multiple Korean idols were found involved.
Despite the criticism, HyunA shared a series of pictures from her pre-wedding shoot on Instagram. However, the two posts also received similar hate comments and harsh criticism. HyunA’s agency AT AREA has stepped in and said that the company has decided to take strong legal action. The agency will be filing a lawsuit against continuous personal attacks and malicious comments.
Besides his involvement in the Burning Sun Scandal, fans are also furious with HyunA’s relationship with Yong Junhyung because he used to date Goo Hara, the late K-pop idol who played a significant role in exposing the scandal. HyunA and Goo Hara were reportedly friends before the latter decided to end her life by committing suicide. Fans are disappointed in HyunA as they see her decision to marry Junhyung as a betrayal.
