The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry has released the best-selling single of 2023 and the youngest member of the BTS is shining through among a list dominated by western artists.

Another record for Jungkook

Jungkook of BTS has emerged as the only Asian artist to secure a spot for himself in the top 10 list. BTS star’s debut single ‘Seven’ ft. Latto has featured on number 10 in the list, proving the singer’s global popularity.

Making the announcement, IFPI wrote, “Released in summer, the debut solo single from @BTS_twt’s Jung Kook featuring rapper @Latto was an instant global hit, debuting at #1 across the globe from US to S. Korea, breaking multiple charts and streaming records.”

While Jungkook is the only Asian artist to secure a spot in top 10, he has become the third K-pop artist to feature in the top 10 list of IFPI. Earlier PSY with his superhit ‘Gangnam Style’ and BTS had achieved this feat.
