Amid the ongoing feud between HYBE label and its subsidiary artist management company ADOR, BIGHIT MUSIC has taken steps to protect BTS against malicious posts. The music label has threatened to take legal action against such posts about the boyband.
BTS’ label has appointed an additional law firm to act against the users making malicious comments and posts about the global K-pop sensation amid HYBE and ADOR’s power battle.
BIGHIT MUSIC released a statement informing the same on Weverse. The statement read, “It has come to our attention that organizational efforts aimed at tarnishing and slandering the artists have escalated in recent weeks. Furthermore, malicious attempts to defame, humiliate, and ridicule the artists or spread rumors and groundless information have become excessive. The company views these actions as severe violation to the artists’ rights and will respond decisively, engaging with another law firm to reinforce our existing legal measures.” The label said that they are collecting evidence of all the malicious posts and will maintain a zero-tolerance policy.
BTS’ parent label HYBE and its subsidiary company ADOR are embroiled in a big controversy after HYBE detected attempts from ADOR CEO to take over the company. HYBE conducted an audit on ADOR and has levelled serious allegations. On the other hand, ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin has claimed that she is being targeted because she raised the issue of HYBE’s plagiarism.
As a result of the feud, there have been malicious posts targeting BTS, making the baseless allegations like awards and charts manipulation, which led to their company taking more stringent efforts.
