There have been speculations that Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep will be joining Bharatiya Janta Party. Now, according to news agency ANI, ahead of his joining the political party, an alleged threat letter was received by the actor’s manager from an unknown person threatening to release Kichcha’s ‘private video’ on social media.
Taking note of the complaint, the police registered an FIR against an unknown person.
Sources told ANI that a few senior officers are also thinking to hand over the case to Central Crime Branch (CCB).
Kichcha Sudeep will reportedly join BJP, ahead of the May 10 Assembly elections.
He sparked rumours of joining politics as he met minister DK Shivakumar in February this year. ‘I have met DK Shivakumar, CM Basavaraj Bommai and minister DK Sudhakar. I have a good relationship with everyone, but I have not made any decision regarding my political entry. I will make it public when I take a decision.’ Sudeep was quoted in a report by India Today.
