Jiah Khan suicide case: Sooraj Pancholi reacts after being acquitted; says ‘the truth always wins’

Minutes after being acquitted in the Jiah Khan death case, actor Sooraj Pancholi took to his Instagram Story and shared a post that read, ‘The truth always wins’ along with the hashtag ‘#GodIsGreat’

Special CBI Court in Mumbai delivered its final verdict in the Jiah Khan suicide case after 10 years. Sooraj Pancholi, son of actors of Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, who had been accused of abetment to suicide, was given a clean chit due to lack of evidence.

After Sooraj Pancholi got a clean chit in the case, Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan’s lawyer said, ‘We will appeal in higher court after studying the judgement.’

Reacting to the verdict, Rabia said, ‘The judgement is not surprising. I anticipated this Our battle is still on. We will appeal.’ She also added, ‘The CBI never took interest in the case.’

Jiah Khan, who was seen in films like ‘Housefull’, ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Nishabd’, was found dead at her home in Mumbai on June 3, 2013.
