Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ was released in theatres on July 21 and it majorly received great reviews around the world. In India, the Cillian Murphy starrer made headlines over a controversial sex scene.

Now, veteran lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar has reviewed the Hollywood movie on Twitter. He called it ‘not just a good film but a great film’.

A person tried to mock the lyricist and in response to his tweet, he asked him to explain the term isotope. In response, Javed Akhtar not only explained the term but also said that knowing some scientific terms was not necessary to understand the film as it is a story of a human being, who happens to be a scientist.

A section of people agreed with Javed's take on the film.

One wrote called ‘Oppenheimer’ one of the greatest films ever. Another said, ‘Christopher Nolan is happy. This is going to boost attendance.’

After a fantastic opening weekend, Christopher Nolan's film slowed down significantly during the week. According to a report on Sacnilk.com, the film’s six-day total now stands at ₹67.85 crore nett in India.

Christopher Nolan's eagerly-anticipated ‘Oppenheimer’ is based on American physicist J Robert Oppenheimer. The film also stars Robert Downey Jr, Emily Blunt, Kenneth Branagh, and Rami Malek.
