‘Harry and Meghan’ ranks as Netflix’s biggest documentary debut, registering 81.55 mn viewing hours

‘Harry and Meghan’ premiered on Netflix on December 8 and it had the biggest documentary debut week in the history of the streaming service. The first three episodes of the series recorded 81.55 million viewing hours after its debut last Thursday, Netflix said in its statement.  Over 28 million households watched at least part of the series.

In the first installment, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made some interesting revelations. The couple talked about how they first met, their disguises to their dates, their wedding, and Meghan’s first death threat. The series has received a mixed response from viewers.

Harry and Meghan’ was the second-most watched English-language series on Netflix globally between December 5 and 11. It was the number one English-language series during the week in Britain.

The second volume of ‘Harry and Meghan’ episodes will release on Netflix on December 15.
