Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke was involved in a car accident in Malibu, California, on Wednesday morning. He reportedly lost control of his car due to wet weather conditions, causing his car to skid and crash into a gate.
According to the BBC report, his nose and mouth were bleeding after the accident and he was treated at the scene as he refused to go to the hospital. The police authorities confirmed that drugs or alcohol were not the reason behind this accident.
The veteran actor’s fans and friends have extended their warm wishes for his speedy recovery.
In a career spanning over seven decades, Dick Van Dyke has done some notable work in theatre, television, and films. He has won various honours, including a Daytime Emmy, a Daytime Tony, a Grammy, four Primetime Emmys, and a Golden Globe. He rose to fame for his roles in ‘Mary Poppins’ and other classics in the 1960s.
Dick Van Dyke was last seen on the small screen in February when he unveiled the season 9 premiere of ‘The Masked Singer’.
