Richard Moll, best known for his iconic role as Bull Shannon, the bailiff on the popular TV series Night Court, has passed away at the age of 80.
The actor, who portrayed the lovable bailiff from 1984 to 1992, died peacefully at his home in Big Bear Lake on Thursday, October 26.
Although the cause of his death has not been disclosed, his representative confirmed the news to PEOPLE.
Born in Pasadena, California, Moll graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in History before venturing into acting.
His portrayal of Bull Shannon, complete with his trademark shaved head and the catchphrase "Ooo-kay," endeared him to fans of the show.
Despite the recent reboot of Night Court for the 2022-23 season, Moll was not involved in the project.
Moll's talent extended beyond Night Court; he received a Saturn award nomination in 1985 for his performance in House and lent his voice to characters such as Harvey Dent/Two-Face in The Adventures of Batman & Robin and Scorpion in Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
His filmography also included appearances in The Flintstones, Jingle All the Way, Casper Meets Wendy, and Scary Movie 2, among others.
