Govinda has claimed that he never tweeted anything on Gurugram violence and that his Twitter account has been hacked.

The actor took to Instagram on August 3 and said that he hasn’t used his Twitter account in years and the Haryana tweet was not posted by him. He said, “Somebody has done this. I have not used the account in years. I am filing a complaint in the cyber cell against the matter. I would like to say me and my team have denied the claim. I will give this matter to cybercrime. I never discuss all this nor I ever will."

Govinda’s tweet regarding the communal tension in Gurugram faced a lot of backlash and the actor’s Twitter account was deleted after that.

Govinda’s tweet read: “What have we come down to? Shame on the people who call themselves Hindus and do such things. Aman aur shanti banaye, hum democracy hai, autocracy nahi!”
