Actor Kangana Ranaut took to social media on June 29 to share an update on her next film ‘Chandramukhi 2’. Sharing a first-look poster of Raghava Lawrence, Kangana announced that the comedy-horror will release in September on Ganesh Chaturthi.
She wrote, ‘This September she is coming back … Are you ready #chandramukhi2 @lyca_productions.’
Ganesh Chaturthi will be observed on September 19. ‘Chandramukhi 2’, directed by P Vasu, is the sequel to the blockbuster hit Tamil horror comedy film ‘Chandramukhi’ which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles.
Kangana Ranaut will portray the role of a dancer in the king's court, who was known for her beauty and dance skills, in the film. She will star opposite Raghava Lawrence. Produced by Lyca Productions and Subaskaran the film will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Besides ‘Chandramukhi 2’, Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for the release of her period drama ‘Emergency’. The movie revolves around the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Kangana stars in the titular role of the late politician. The movie will be out in theatres on November 24, 2023.
Kangana Ranaut also has ‘Tejas’ in the pipeline.
