Veteran actor Arun Bali passes away at 79 in Mumbai

Veteran actor Arun Bali, who was suffering from a rare neuromuscular problem, myasthenia gravis, passed away at the age of 79 in Mumbai, news agency ANI reported. He was also admitted to the Hirnandani Hospital in the city earlier this year.

Arun Bali is best known for his roles in films like ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Panipat’, ‘Hey Ram’, ‘Ready’, and ‘Zameen’, among many other films. He has also worked in numerous television series. He portrayed the role of King Porus in the 1991 period drama ‘Chanakya’, and Kunwar Singh in the Doordarshan soap opera ‘Swabhimaan’. 

Arun Bali is also a National Award-winning producer. He was last seen in Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which released in theatres on August 11, 2022.

Arun Bali has two daughters who reside in America. They arrive in India on October 8 after which the actor's last rites will be performed.
