Jackky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani owned Pooja Entertainment is reportedly facing a huge financial crisis. There were reports suggesting that the producers have decided to sell the office space of their production house to pay their dues. Apart from this, allegations of unpaid dues by crew members also emerged on social media. Vashu Bhagnani has broken silence and reacted to these reports.
In response to these reports, veteran producer Vashu Bhagnani clarified in an interview with ETimes that the office space still belongs to him and has not been sold. Bhagnani revealed that the office building is being redeveloped into a luxury residential tower, a plan that was lined up for 1.5 years. “The building that people are talking about hasn’t been sold to anyone, it belongs to me even now.” He debunked rumours of financial distress, stating that the redevelopment was decided to be carried on after the release of their upcoming film, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’.
Addressing the allegations of workforce reduction, Bhagnani asserted that their core team, which has been with them for over a decade, remains intact. He denied dismissing 80% of their employees, emphasising that operations continue from their previous office during the redevelopment phase.
Regarding the accusations of non-payment from crew members, Bhagnani asked such people to approach the company directly with their documents and assured them of resolution within 60 days if legitimate claims are presented. “Nobody is running away. Please come to my office, talk to us, give us your documents and give us 60 days to figure things out. I am not going to buckle under any pressure or blackmail.” He emphasised their longstanding presence in the industry and commitment to fair practices.
