Alia Bhatt re-shared a post by Middle East Matters and captioned it, ‘This is heartbreaking (broken heart emoji).’
RajKummar took to his Instagram Stories and said, ‘Turkey, Syria. You are in our prayers. (folded hands and broken heart emojis).’
Turkey and Syria were hit by three consecutive devastating earthquakes of magnitude 7.8, 7.6, and 6.0 on Monday. The death toll following powerful earthquakes is over 5,000, according to the Washington Post. Thousands of emergency responders have been searching for people in the rubble of collapsed buildings, and medical teams have been tending to the injured.
